10th Annual Baden Volunteer Fire Department’s ‘under the lights’ Show with entries of Cars, Trucks, Rat Rods, Bikes and Antique Fire Trucks’. “Best in Show Trophy “ donated by Trophies by Design was presented to – Ron Cutchember of Clinton, Maryland for his spectular ’69 Camaro!

This ’69 Camaro was built in Charlotte, NC and later purchased by Ron for his very own. It is called a ’69 Resto-Mod Camaro, meaning it has the old body in it, but the interior and drive train has been up-graded. Ron has owned this treasure for the last 7 years. It has an LS3 drive train. The color is Inserno Orange which is a new GM factory color.

The 10th Annual Baden Volunteer Fire Department’s Cars, Trucks, Rat Rods. Bikes & Antique Fire Trucks – Welcomed everyone! This annual event is a fundraiser for the Baden Volunteer Fire Department, Station 836, that was held on June 18th (4-9:30 p.m.). This show had 251 paid vehicles and 500 spectators came through the gate to view the show! It was an outstanding turnout for this Baden VFD’s fundraiser. Thank you again!

The weather for the afternoon and evening for this year’s ‘under the lights’ was perfect! The DJ was Bob Hartman’s HardRock’s DJ Service was “Outstanding”! The mixture of old country and 50’s music for the show. The Tri-County Cruiser’s (many are volunteers with the BVFD) had their rods parked on the hill for show and attention to catch the unknowing traveling public! What a show! The camaraderie and competition between old friends and acquaintances drawn together in the brother and sisterhood of their special rides was amazing to see! The individual talent, tooling and imagination of these rodders’ rides were something for an individual’s eyes to behold. What a fun afternoon with great rides to see cruising over the ballfield to stage for the judging as the evening moved on to dusk. The delicious food by Texas Ribs of Clinton, and our special DJ, Dan Hartman, HardRock’s DJ Service and so many of our surrounding neighbors providing a high number of public attendance in support of their Baden VFD fundraiser event.

The Baden VFD members with the help of the Tri-County’s Cruisers Rod & Custom Car Club volunteers organized a flawless show for the rodders. Door prizes were given and ballots for the children to pick a rodder for the “Kids Choice” Trophy. A candy jar guessing contest added a little more fun for the children/grandchildren of the rodders! Something for the whole family!

The volunteers from both organizations worked together to make this outstanding show - it was “hoods and trunks up” to be judged by 7:30 p.m.! We had some spectacular sponsors again this year: Dennison Landscaping, Texas Ribs of Clinton served up sumptuous BBQ ribs, burgers, hotdogs and fries! They were also one of our financial supporters for the spectacular trophies that were awarded! We witnessed some really neat rods, bikes and even an antique fire truck out there on the field!
