The Tri-County Cruisers Rod & Custom Car Show “under the lights” took place on September 24th from 4 to 7:30 p.m. This is our 21st Annual show to raise funds to support: The Chesapeake Foundation which has joined with the Hospice of Charles County, MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital Hospice and Calvert Hospice. Also, this fundraiser supports: Angels Watch (battered men, women and children), St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Baden Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD which has supported our meetings and shows there at Baden for years.) Many thanks from the Tri-County Cruisers to Trophies by Design for donating the BEST IN SHOW TROPHY which was presented to: Kathy Reents of Davidsonville, MD. Kathy has owned her ’57 Chevy BelAir Convertible for 4 ½ years. She had always wanted a ’57 Chevy Convertible. Kathy had been checking out cars on a Marketing Website and contacted the owner in Lagoona, California. The owner was a little 80-year-old Greek fisty lady who was not pleased by male buyers’ conversations with her. Money was not her objective for “her baby”! She wanted a woman to have it and care for it. Kathy and she connected and it was a done deal! The color of this beauty is called “Candy Pearl Merlot” which was the color the little Greek lady had it painted for her own enjoyment.

The Kid’s Choice for a trophy was afun thing for the kids to do. They would take their voting card supplied by Summit Racing and be presented with an “Official Judge - Kids Choice Award Badge” to wear as they went around and picked “three” of their favorite rods and return their choices to the ballot box. From the choices noted by the children, the rod with the most votes became the winner of the ”KIDS CHOICE” trophy. Kids Choice Trophy was presented during the show awards to Brittany Twigg’s 2016 Chevy Camaro - complete with Spiderman the roof!
