| At 0537 AM, units were dispatched to the intersection of Brandywine Road and Ashbox Road for a motor vehicle collision. When units arrived, they found a head on collision with 3 vehicles involved. The assignment was upgraded to a Rescue and switched to an alternate radio channel while incident command was established. Command requested 2 additional BLS units for treatment and transport of several patients. The driver of one vehicle was trapped and considered a category Alpha trauma patient. Rescue Engine 840 worked to free the patient and Medic 840 treated and transported them to an area trauma center. 5 patients were transported to area hospitals for treatment. |
